How To Fix XP to Windows Access Denied On Shared Folders Issue

The problem is one of resource allocation / network related settings and cache on the Windows 7 PC. I am sure that you are not that interested on that so rather than waffle on like so many websites to bore you to death; here is what you need to do to fix it:

Solution - On the Windows 7 Machine (with admin rights)

Go to Start - Run

Type: Regedit

Browse down to: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\LargeSystemCache

Change the Value from 0 to 1

Browse down to: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters\Size

Change the Value from 0 to 3

Save, exit and reboot; Job Done!.
